Stir It Up is an individualized cooking program.

Meet The Instructor

Carol Wiggins, owner of Stir It Up Cooking School, has been teaching cooking skills to kids, teens and adults since 2003. It is her believe that cooking is a life-long skill that benefits everyone, regardless of their age or abilities and that eating healthy comes naturally when you cook it yourself.

About

Stir it Up Cooking School moved to its new remodeled location in South Boulder in 2004 which included a large deck, backyard garden and play area. The focus of the school is on kitchen safety and organization while new skills are developed. Herbs and vegetables from our garden are picked and added to our recipes whenever possible. Classes Offered

Classes are available to children and teenagers at any skill level. Private classes are initially encouraged and can be tailored to the participant. Beginner classes focus on kitchen safety, teamwork, gardening and how to get organized. Upper levels include cooking techniques, with lots of opportunity to cut, chop, mix, cook and bake.

Intermediate to advanced classes practice how to follow recipe instructions, measure ingredients, and use a chef knife. Perfect for pre-teen and teens who enjoy cooking as well as socializing with their peers. Knife skills and advanced cooking techniques will be reviewed with opportunity to cut and chop each day.
