Meet the Instructor

Karina Black, OTR/L is a licensed occupational therapist who brings to her practice more than 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist and six years of experience as a certified Handwriting Without Tears® specialist. Karina also co-founded and operated a professional organizing business for over a decade. Her diverse background has culminated in founding Skills 4 Life Pediatric Occupational Therapy, a business focusing on teaching children the skills they need to succeed in multiple facets of their lives.

Karina offers a broad range of pediatric occupational therapy services to ensure that the unique needs of each child are met. She strives to help children master age-appropriate developmental skills, become more independent at home, increase academic success at school, and develop improved self-confidence and self-esteem.

After completing the initial IFSN assessment, Contact Karina at any time to begin discussing how Skills 4 Life can best support your child. 


The classes are personalized to focus on handwriting, keyboarding, organizational, social skills, and/or self-regulation skills. As an experienced therapist, Karina brings authenticity and humor to her work and life. Her patient, gentle approach is appreciated by parents and children alike.
